Jasmin Pauluth
Photographer based in Germany, with a heart for the North.
I am a nature and wildlife photographer drawn to remote landscapes and the quiet atmosphere they carry. My work explores the raw beauty of the natural world — from untamed wildlife to the ever-changing light of the North.
I am especially fascinated by the beauty found in small, often overlooked moments — a change in light, a quiet landscape, or a brief encounter in the wild.
There is something about the North that is difficult to put into words — a presence that stays with you long after you leave.
About the project
Target: show 24 hours of midnight sun and polar night.
The Troms24 Photo Project is a long-term photographic series dedicated to the landscapes, atmosphere, and shifting light of the Troms region in northern Norway, deep within the Arctic Circle. During the endless days of summer, the midnight sun never truly sets. The sky remains restless with soft golden light, casting long shadows across fjords and mountain peaks long after midnight. Time begins to lose its usual rhythm, and light itself feels almost tangible. Then comes the polar night. For weeks, the sun disappears beyond the horizon, and the landscape transforms — not into darkness, but into a world of deep blue twilight, silent snow-covered mountains, star-filled skies, and the quiet, electric movement of the Northern Lights. Together, these extremes reveal the emotional depth of the North: a place of raw beauty, solitude, and constant transformation in every season and every kind of light. There is a quiet enchantment in Norway that is difficult to explain. The fjords, mountains, and endless horizons seem to carry something ancient — as if the landscape itself leaves a lasting imprint on you. Once the North finds its way into your soul, some part of it will always call you back.
